BETTER ROADS FOR LANARKSHIRE

The idea behind this campaign is to highlight to South Lanarkshire Council the terrible state of our roads in the Clydesdale area.

If you can send me photographs of the road defects - pot holes, burst drains etc. - in your area, I will publish them on this website. I will alert South Lanarkshire Council when new photos have been added and we can then monitor how long it takes for the defects to be repaired and the standard of the repair.

Please send your pictures and details of location to campaign@prodetailing.co.uk

If you would like to add your voice, send me your comments on the condition of Clydesdale's roads.

PETTINAIN - PETTINAIN ROAD - 28th April 2008  (Pics and words by J.Langford)
This is the road between Pettinain and Carstairs Junction. You will note that in some places the width of the road is severely
narrowed due to erosion etc. Most potholes are at least 3 inches deep but some are much deeper. you will note the cart track
on the approach to the 2-ton rickety bridge! This has broken the springs of my wife's car twice! I should also add that South
Lanarkshire's bin lorry regularly disobeys this limit by crossing the bridge! I estimate the bin lorry is anything between 8-10 tons.

CARSTAIRS JUNCTION, WEST END, CARNWATH - 2nd May 2008  (Pics by D. Hamilton)
These photos show the awful state of the roads in and around Carstairs Junction, West End and Carnwath. These roads have lain in this state for at least 12 months and in most cases longer. Unfortunately this is a common sight on the roads around South Lanarkshire these days.

CROSSFORD - 2nd May 2008  (Pics by D. Hamilton)
These photos show the state of the B7056 road at Crossford where the road from Nemphlar joins it.
